Welcome | The Innovation Project was founded as a global non-profit organization, to promote thought leadership, research and collaboration among business innovation leaders from the academic, corporate and government communities.  Today's environment requires a new type of business leader, one who strives to think and act beyond traditional boundaries, seeking new and innovative ways to implement a solution, gain a competitive advantage, or solve a management challenge.

What is Innovation?

The term Innovation may mean something different, from organization to organization, sometimes  even within the same company.  The classic definition of Innovation usually focuses on the introduction of something new, for example a new Idea, Method, or Product.

Are you an Innovation Leader?

Innovation has nothing to do with how many R&D dollars you have…It's not about money.  It's about the people you have, how you're led, and how much you get it - Steve Jobs

If all companies must come up with new ideas and introduce new products at some point to remain competitive, why are some more effective than others at doing so?  The answer may not lie with the capability or previous experience of the staff involved, the key differentiator is embedded in the culture and climate of the company itself, as articulated and driven by the CEO as an Innovation Leader. It is a companies true capacity for nurturing creativity and leading innovation that sets them apart from others.  These companies, and their CEOs are the true leaders at the convergance of strategy, policy and innovation.
