Sean O'Neill, Founder and Executive Director
    

Sean O'Neill has more than fifteen years of diverse experience across multiple industries, managing operations and spearheading transformation for companies during high-growth, turn-around, merger and/or acquisition. Starting in 1997 with Micros Systems, Sean has successfully delivered a broad range of business and technology solutions, both as internal initiatives and for external clients including Subway, Marriott, Burger King, ARAMARK, AOL, Merrill Lynch, NASA and DOD. Most recently with Serco Americas, Sean has focused on developing and executing corporate strategies to drive growth and achieve strategic, organizational and operational excellence. He has been a contributing author for numerous industry publications and received recognition for his work with academic institutions and professional associations. Bryan Warren
  
Bryan brings almost 14 years of expertise in multiple disciplines including finance/accounting, information technology, and large scale process and control projects at highly complex financial institutions. Bryan is a proven leader with a track record of identifying and motivating talented individuals to meet the clients’ needs and objectives.  He is a CPA with Big Four experience who has served as a Controller for a privately held finance company as well as a Director of Operations for a $300 million publicly held entity.  Bryan holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma and is currently pursuing a joint global executive MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School.
  

  
John Crawford
 
John is a founding partner of Halogen Communications.  Prior to Halogen, John was with Yellow M Advertising, focused on client accounts such as Strathclyde Passenger Transport, The Herald, The Conservative Party, Burn Stewart, The Scottish Conservative Party, Kier Homes, Lend Lease, Eaga Partnership and The Scottish Executive.  Before this John was Chief of Staff for the Scottish Conservatives working on campaign strategy and interaction with the media. During this time he forged excellent links with the media and developed a great deal of experience in event planning and management and dealing with VIP visitors. He also set up the Party’s Parliamentary Research Unit in the new Scottish Parliament which is still running today.  John’s first ‘career’ was as a civil servant at the Scottish Office in Edinburgh and London. During his 8 years he developed an excellent understanding of civil service protocol and the workings of government at Westminster.  John is now based in Washington DC running Halogen’s new operation on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Rick Davis
  
Rick Davis has 25 years of experience in professional services designing and implementing innovative sales and marketing approaches. The bulk of his career has been spent with Ernst & Young where he played a key role in leading the culture change that enabled E&Y to strengthen relationships, grow revenues and dominate competing firms. Since leaving E&Y, Rick has achieved recognition as a thought leader in growth strategy development, sales process innovation, and pursuit team coaching. He has teamed with leading professional services firms around the world to enhance their competitive strengths.  At Divine Consultants, Rick is continually called upon by industry leaders to bring his professional experience and high energy style to help them grow their businesses. He continues to work with clients as teams and individuals, fully investing in their professional success. Most recently he worked with pursuit teams at an international consulting and actuarial firm, helping them secure several lucrative contracts by implementing innovative strategies in teaming, pursuit planning, and client service. He is also engaged with an international outsourcing firm, helping them develop and implement go-to-market strategies customized for their unique business needs.
     

  
Laurie Broedling
  

Laurie Broedling, Ph.D., is a consultant and teacher who helps organizations improve their performance through improving their quality, processes, leadership, and human resources. As President of LB Organizational Consulting, Laurie assists organizations in aligning their policies, processes, work units, and employees to achieve overall organizational goals. This includes assuring that human resource and quality practices encourage the kinds of behavior that support the goals and desired culture. Her work also includes helping organizations develop and use work teams and team-based approaches to organizational functioning. She has held positions at all organizational levels.  Her executive experience has been as Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Quality, McDonnell Douglas Corporation; Vice President of People Systems and Employee Involvement, Boeing; Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Quality; and Associate Administrator of NASA for Continual Improvement.  She served as the Director of the Leadership and Management Systems Team for the National Performance Review reinventing government initiative.  In that capacity she studied and made recommendations to the President and Vice President on government-wide executive level leadership and management methods, structures, development, and challenges. She has also developed and evaluated new approaches to leadership and performance enhancement for the U.S. Navy.  She has also taught quality systems management, organizational behavior, organizational development, and strategic planning and management at San Diego State University, George Washington University, and the National Graduate School for Quality Systems Management. She is extensively published, including co-editing the book, The Collaborative Work Systems Fieldbook. Dr. Broedling has served as an examiner for the Baldrige Award, both an examiner and judge for the President's Quality Award, and a judge for the California Team Excellence Award. She is Chair, Emeritus of the California Team Excellence Award Council. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Brown University. Her Master's and Ph.D. degrees are in industrial-organizational psychology from George Washington University. She is a member of the American Society for Quality, Academy of Management, American Society for Training and Development, American Psychological Association, Society of Industrial-Organizational Psychologists, and Society of Psychologists in Management. 

  

    
Matt Opeka
  
Matt has over 50 years of experience in aerospace engineering and project management, both in government and industry, including the integration and testing of over 40 spacecraft built in house at NASA/GSFC.  Since 1988 he has led program management and engineering contracts for companies such as QSS, McDonnell Douglas and Boeing.  Prior to that, he held multiple technical management positions within NASA over the course of a 25 year career.  Matt attended the Carnegie Institute of Technology and has completed USAF pilot training.
  

    
Joe Trentacosta  

Joe Trentacosta is Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative.  He directs SMECO's Information Technology (IT), Facilities, and Security departments, including managing the development and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and all IT business systems, implementing IT support strategies, and negotiating technology support and maintenance contracts.  Joe is also responsible for the overall development and maintenance of the Cooperative’s security program, including developing and enforcing security standards, practices, and operational procedures.  He also manages and oversees the facilities maintenance function of the Cooperative including the design, management, maintenance, construction/renovation, and improvements of all SMECO facilities and grounds.  Prior to joining SMECO, Trentacosta worked in the information technology field for more than 18 years, most of them at Verizon Wireless.
